Yeah, I know they never even talked in the series. But damnit! Until Naruto gets a clue, Hinata's better off with someone else, and for some bizarre reason I can see Gaara with her. I also like Sasuke with her, but he's an idiot so forget that. I mean, Gaara becomes kazekage! He's everything Naruto wanted to be. LOL, Hinata deserves to be a princess so why not? Squee, I like her post-time jump look. Thank goodness for long hair. TT; her outfit is an improvement from her first one, so i'm good with it. (but what is the author thinking? Are we ever going to see her happy? She loves Naruto but he's off falling deeper in love with Sakura. *facepalm* Stupid author should not have created such a lovely character if he wasn't going to do anything about her!)

And yes, I know Gaara's creepy, but he's also hella cool too. And he fixes up nicely when he's not on a murder spree. All crazy fangirlness aside, the boy needs to be loved, poor deprived soul that he is. Obviously the notion of love means something to him for him to have tatooed that character on his forehead. And yes, I know I left it out, this is just a sketch. No way I'm doing such an elaborate character in that little space there. Should I decide to finish this picture, I will draw it obviously. He just aint gaara without it. X3

Ahh, gotta love the Gaahina fanfics. XD There are some very good ones out there. Most of them are arranged marraige type of fics (which tend to be common with Hinata since she comes from a formal rich family), but I do love it when she ends up marrying the kazekage, gets stronger, falls in love and just shows everyone in her family how kickass she really is. Heh, I guess it's like a Cinderella story but a whole lot better. Since it involves Gaara, you tend to get Beauty in the Beast references along with the whole 'girl coming to make a difference in the kingdom or help SAVE the kingdom from baddies that want to use or kill the Kazekage'. The non-arranged marriage ones are good too (I just wish they were updated more often!) *happy sigh* Hinata and Gaara just kick ass. He's an interesting character and she's just lovable. ^^

As for this pic, I was inspired by the latest chapter of one fanfic where an injured angsty Hinata crawls over to an injured psychotic (and unsuccessfuly restrained) Gaara and YANKS on his hair, tellin him to chill the fuck out. (well not really, but she did yank on his hair and yell at him to stop). Surprisingly he calms down and is dropped into her lap, telling her that he thought she had left him behind. (no you fool, she went to get help but got stuck in the hospital). At which point she just cries and shakes her head and helps him to the hospital to get treated. While everyone who worked to restrain/bring him back stares in shock, thinking, what the hell just happened and why didn't he freak out on her for yanking his hair. Ah, romance! The writing for this scene was rather lovely too. I've just totally mowed it down here for humor sakes, but it really was a lovely scene that I can only express by drawing it (though he actually fell face first into her lap and I have no idea what she was wearing at the time...). But yes, in every gaahina fanfic there is much suffering incurred on the these two, physical, emotional, mental, ya name it! XD; Both parties suffer tons before they can reach some happiness.


Anyhoo! The title and first sentence come from that beautiful song "Rain" by Breaking Benjamin (whoda thought they can do soft music...) I thought the lyrics fit him. (though honestly they just fit any male character that wants to be loved *thinking of Vincent Law from Ergo Proxy*) XD;
